Access to your hotel in downtown Lourdes

By road, coming from Tarbes or Pau, take direction CENTER-VILLE, LES HALLES. You will pass under the railway bridge; then follow the main avenue (Avenue Maransin). Leave the Tourist Office on your right, and continue to the covered market ("Les Halles"). At the traffic light, turn right, then continue straight towards “Place des Pyrénées”. The street climbs slightly then turns left; Immediately after this bend, turn right, “Rue Rouy” and continue until the STOP sign. You will see the Hôtel de la Vallée on the right on the opposite sidewalk.

On foot, from the SNCF station, allow 20 to 25 minutes.
Turn right when exiting the station (“Avenue de la Gare”). At the roundabout, turn left onto Avenue Maransin. Continue straight ahead, pass the Tourist Office and at Mie Câline, turn right into the “Rue de la Grotte”. At about 150 m, at the 2nd crossroads, turn left into “Rue des Pyrénées”. Our hotel is located 100 m away, on the right-hand sidewalk.

Finally, if you choose to come by plane, the region is mainly served by 4 airports: Biarritz-Anglet-Bayonne and Toulouse-Blagnac airports are about 170km away; rail links are operated to Lourdes. Pau-Pyrénées airport is located 50 km from Lourdes; a one-way taxi ride will cost you between € 80 and € 110, depending on the day and time. Finally, Tarbes-Lourdes airport is only 16 km away; from there, two solutions are available to you: take a taxi (count 30 to 35 € per trip) or come by bus (“MaLigne”) for 2 € per person. Get around town from your hotel near the sanctuary and near the grotto of Lourdes

To discover the city center of Lourdes, we do not recommend taking the car: finding a parking space can be long and complicated! A city bus runs through Lourdes at regular intervals between 7:30 am and 10:30 pm, every day (€ 1.20 / trip). It serves in particular the SNCF station, the city center, the Sanctuaries, or even the Pic du Jer funicular. Finally, Lourdes can also be explored on foot: the historic center is just 5 minutes from the hotel, and it will take you 10 to 15 minutes to get down to the Sanctuaries (good to know: a public lift connects the " high ”to the“ lower ”part of town).
